Because journalism has a special place in determining and analyzing the development trends of the society based on the views of the people living in it, creating public consciousness and opinion. It is for this reason that journalism is called the mirror of the times. This directly applies to Turkmen journalism. The President's attention to journalism and his concern for improving the quality of mass media have significantly changed the work of mass media. The new conditions of journalism and the introduction of new techniques greatly facilitated the work carried out in this field. Nowadays, it is possible to exchange news and information with many countries of the world through Internet networks.
The number of periodicals, TV and radio stations increased, and the content of literary and literary works was increased due to the fact that the President met with the creative workers and was closely interested in the quality and efficiency of the work., the quality has been improved. Newspapers and magazines in the country are published on high-quality paper and advanced technology. Stable state publications differ both in terms of content and modern presentational features.
Today, the President of the Republic of Turkey is closely interested in the work of the mass media, creating all the possibilities for journalists to work and live freely, which has led to the rapid development of this industry. Internet etc. through which all the news happening in the world is delivered to the public in a timely manner. This is a clear proof that Turkmen journalism is progressing from development to development and has a bright future.
Journalism covers several tasks. They are:
- To publicize and explain to the public the policy pursued by the Honorable President, his state-important, country-advantageous works.
- Regulating public relations, guiding the public in the right direction.
- To create a modern thinking personality and a developed society. Idea-nurture activities. It consists of uplifting the spirit of the people and many other things.
Of course, these tasks are closely related. The need for a variety of news and conversations that unites the people, directs their consciousness to a specific goal, depends on the place and reputation of journalism in society. Newspapers in different countries serve different ideas, organizations and parties. This is called «pluralism» in journalism.
In our country, the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan implements many nationally significant works for the sake of the happy life of the people. He is particularly concerned about journalists, who are denied all opportunities to carry out their work, the duties of journalism. Each era has its own problems and tasks. Even in a stable state, journalism has its own tasks and challenges. At this time, the main task of journalism is to promote the activities of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the bright future of the Turkmen people, to promote science, literature, art, culture, economy, agriculture, etc. in the country. It consists of showing the development of the country by modernizing the developments and innovations in various sectors, reflecting them clearly, effectively and significantly, and spreading them to the world.
Of course, in this matter, numbers, dates, data, sociological research and statistical data should serve to increase the persuasiveness of the journalist's creativity in various genres.
Activities of foreign business groups for the benefit of our country, international practical consultations on various topics, seminars, opportunities for our youth to study not only in our country, but also in other developed countries are issues that our journalism should promote today. Also, today's issues of journalism, people's level of education, outlook, behavior, social activity, role in society, etc. These are the things a journalist should learn and express. A journalist should know what he is fighting for, what he wants to achieve, and he should approach this issue consciously. Here, it is necessary for him to correctly establish his idea-mentoring function, first of all, to be able to consciously plan the tasks to be performed. A journalist must study the public's will by studying life. We should try to express the country's policy in relation to the will of the people. For this, he must know the orientation, he must be able to cope with the situations that surround him. Proper understanding and evaluation should be practiced.
Orientation («Orientation» in French means determining one's position) helps the journalist to determine his goal, determine the direction and characteristics of the work. Orientation helps you to see what is there, to make sense of it. Orientation shows specific ways and directions for doing work. Orientation with its means, methodology, norms, etc. it helps to achieve good results. In order to educate the people, it is necessary to be able to respect their values, traditions, and spiritual characteristics acquired over the centuries. Thus, journalism is not limited to the dissemination of news, but to the study of the truth and the laws of social life. His main task is to influence and educate the public. In this case, the main ideological and educational functions are clarified.
A journalist should try to influence the public acceptance of his opinion by expressing information, revealing the meaning of events, creating an image of people, explaining social laws. The journalist's organizational task is to facilitate the correct organization of the work performed in society, especially in the economy, industry, and agriculture. It should help eliminate various defects and defects. The third task of a journalist is to support people spiritually, to organize a good vacation, living conditions for them, to strengthen their health in health resorts, to practice sports, etc. is to focus on the implementation of relevant activities. Apart from these, the journalist is also involved in drug addiction, etc. «Turkmen sport» newspaper, «Health» magazine and other publications are active in carrying out this work.
