This article discusses the importance of multimedia materials in the education system in covering the theoretical aspects of musicology.
Keywords: music education, multimedia, technology, methodology, innovation, education system, computer.
Education is very important in human education and enlightenment. As the President said in his report, «We must not forget that one of the main tasks of education is to bring up a harmoniously developed generation, to bring them up in all respects», he said. Therefore, the contribution and impact of the great school on the development of man and society can not be compared with the work of teachers and educators, who decide not only the future of our youth, but also the future of our people.
«Education gives creativity and activity to the spirituality of the people of Uzbekistan. All the best opportunities of young people will be reflected in it, their profession and skills will be constantly improved, the wise experience of the older generations will be understood and passed on to the younger generation. Young people begin to understand education and spirituality because of their talent and thirst for knowledge». This will require the effective use of modern information technologies in the education of students, the formation of computer literacy, the provision of basic knowledge on the Internet. One such technology is multimedia. In order to implement multimedia in the field of education, it is necessary to develop its electronic resources. Such educational resources include electronic textbooks, manuals, methodical developments, presentations, slides, Internet materials, information resource centers.
There are several definitions of multimedia, here are some of them. In particular, multimedia — (English-Greek multimedia — medium) is a technology that includes a variety of means of information transmission, which includes certain programs and tools. Computers with multimedia typically have strong video cameras, the ability to view VCRs and camcorders, capture images, and process information in a variety of formats, such as color graphics, sound output, and synthesized music.
Multimedia technology is a technology in the form of software and hardware designed to deliver educational materials to students based on the effects of audio, video, text, graphics and animation (movement of objects in space). Multimedia is a special technology based on software and hardware that allows a computer to simultaneously represent textual, visual, and audio information.
Multimedia is a modern information technology that allows you to combine text, sound, video and various animations in a computer system.
Multimedia tools include tools, programs, and materials used in the creation of multimedia tools, such as audio speakers, microphones, video projectors, webcams, and TV tuners. From a pedagogical point of view, multimedia is a new computer-based approach to the application of students in the educational process. Computer technology is being implemented as an important tool in increasing student engagement, increasing the volume of learning materials, and increasing the effectiveness of the educational process. Depending on the computer monitor, it is possible to acquire knowledge using the materials displayed on the screen, to form computer literacy, to increase the effectiveness of education. Multimedia is seen in computer technology as a source of instruction in addition to visual aids. Because the material to be studied will be stored in computer memory in advance.
The teacher calls the required information to the monitor screen and introduces the materials to the students. On this basis, they will study the materials presented on the topic. In doing so, students become computer literate enough. At the same time, in the process of using a computer, young students develop thinking, interest in learning and expand their worldview. The effectiveness of multimedia technology in the educational process can be expressed in the following ways:
The text in the multimedia should be short, clear and concise. Students will not only be able to read it, but also memorize it. Reading aloud or various means consists of sound. In this case, it is important that the sound is engaging, whether it is intonation, music or excitement. Live action consists of the behavior of a person, thing, or object. The only requirement is that the action be educational and aesthetic. Graphic images are created to visualize a specific subject. This condition also serves to strengthen the memory. Although the use of multimedia in the teaching process is one of the most convenient ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching, it does not produce the expected results without the availability or use of appropriate programs. Therefore, depending on the nature of each subject, the basic and important elements of the learning material are relevant to the process of mastering by students, the software tools to improve the color of images on the screen, the structure of information, the appearance of objects, the ease of sounds. means to take into account. Multimedia lessons increase students' interest in the lesson and their level of knowledge. Multimedia tools allow the student to approach individually. Even without the direct involvement of the teacher, the student will be able to master the material.
Nowadays, multimedia is widely used in our daily activities. This is the definition of multimedia, summarizing the above ideas for the application of multimedia technologies in education. Multimedia is an integrated approach to the delivery of educational materials to the audience on the basis of traditional and original types of information using software and hardware of computer science. Multimedia is one of the fastest growing modern information technologies and has the following features:
– Includes traditional types of information: text, tables, various decorations and original types of information: speech, music, TV footage, video clips, clips, animated information.
– Approximate mobility of the central processor for processing and displaying video and audio information on the computer, the capacity of the data bus, fast video and memory capacity, large-capacity external memory, the speed of exchange on computer input-output channels a doubling is required;
– providing a new level of human-computer-human interactive communication, the ability to receive a wide range of information in the process of communication.
Current practice shows that teaching students using multimedia tools is twice as effective. It is known that if a quarter of the material heard is memorized, if we do the material given to students through video, the chances of remembering and imagining information will increase by 35–70 %. It is also observed that if these curricula are given to students in the form of audio, video and graphics, the retention of materials will increase by 70–95 %.
The benefits of using multimedia to educate students include:
– Ability to deepen and better master the material provided in the educational process;
– Increased willingness to stay in touch with new areas of learning;
– Ability to save time as a result of reduced learning time in the classroom;
– The acquired knowledge can be stored in a person's memory for a long time and can be applied in practice.
There are some challenges to using multimedia in the educational process, including:
– Use of multimedia elements for the developed educational computer programs.
In the development of multimedia educational materials, some work is already being done in the Republic. Leading specialists are involved in it, and training materials are created in the field of education.
Currently, educational institutions are working on topical issues such as the creation of a scientific basis for new pedagogical technologies, their classification, definition of methodological significance. New pedagogical technologies include computerization of education, as well as traditional and non-traditional methods. In this sense, the growing computer-information culture creates a new relationship in the transmission and reception of information, creates a new type of thinking. In this, man interacts with the inofrmation universe.
